Since completing his undergraduate degree, Will has completed 2 full marathons and numerous half marathons and ten milers. He plans to continue to explore local trails and will continue to train for more distance races.

Favorite....Place to run: "Hemlock Overlook and Potomac Heritage Trail."

Heather Blair

Hometown: Sterling, VA

Running Experience and Accomplishments: Heather began running after college so that she could tag along with her sister, Ashleigh. After her first marathon that did not go as well planned, she swore I'd never run another one again. BUT, since then, she has completed two more full marathons, and a bunch of half marathons!

Favorite....race:  "The Warrior Dash. Three miles of running, jumping, climbing, mud, and beer...what's not to love?"

Kylene Peroutky

Hometown: Herndon, VA

Running Experience and Accomplishments: Kylene played soccer all through high school, then played soccer and swam in college. At the time, running was limited to conditioning for soccer. But, once collegiate sports were over, Kylene found herself running more! Kylene finished my first trail half marathon in June and continues to race at the 5K-10 mile distance. Currently Kylene is training for another half marathon and contemplating whether to give in to the peer pressure of fellow co-workers and attempt a marathon!

Favorite....Time to run: "5:30 AM with my mom!"

Elizabeth Van Winkle

Hometown: Purcellville, VA

Running Experience and Accomplishments:  Elizabeth ran cross country and track in college with her favorite race being the Steeplechase. She is currently enjoying running for fun and racing in local races.

Favorite....Race: "Running in a super cold Steeplechase race in thirty degree weather with super high winds (it was very cold but very fun)!"

Amy Perkins

Hometown: Oakton, VA

Running Experience and Accomplishments: I started running at the age of forty in an attempt to get back in shape after spending my thirties having babies and raising toddlers. In 2007, a friend urged me to run a local 5k and I was hooked from that day on. I have since run several marathons, including Boston, and numerous races of shorter distances. The thing I love most about a race (besides the finish line!) is the feeling of camaraderie amongst the runners, even if they're all total strangers to you. Fellow runners are always so encouraging and supportive of each other. I coach Girls on the Run and the KLF Striders kids' running programs. I never played sports or was athletic in my youth, so I feel if I can become a runner, anyone can!

Favorite....Race:  Freeze Your Gizzard 5K - my first race. I have a love/hate relationship with this race. It's local and fun, but has a hilly, challenging cross country course that will kick your butt!

Diar Godani

Hometown: Sterling, VA

Running Experience and Accomplishments: Diar began running in high school and became captain of his track team. He has completed numerous 5ks and is training for his first half marathon. Diar enjoys running in Claude Moore and the W&OD.

Running Experience and Accomplishments: Katie started running her second year of college and has loved it ever since. She has completed a few 5ks, 10ks, a 10 miler, and this past fall completed her first marathon, the Marine Corps Marathon!  She is "psyched to do another"! Currently, Katie is working on training for her first triathlon next year.

Favorite.... Place to Run: Pandapas Pond trails in Blacksburg, VA
