Running Experience and Accomplishments: Chris specialized in sprints and jumping events while in high school and was a 4-year Varsity athlete. Chris has been coaching at WT Woodson HS since 2004 and is a VHSL Certified Coach and a Pole Vault Certified Coach. Chris has completed the MCM and Baltimore Marathon: along with numerous 5k and 10k events. Chris uses the Galloway method in training and on race day. Chris believes that the Galloway method can be a great tool for anyone, at any level, to complete a running event. Chris has been fitting customers at Potomac River Running since August of 2007.

Running Experience and Accomplishments: Maera ran Varsity Cross Country and Track & Field in High School, but it was only after College and her return to the area that she started to challenge herself through community races. She ran her first half-marathon last year and is constantly on the lookout for longer distances, different places, and new challenges.
Favorite....Place to Run: “My neighborhood, because the smell of Korean BBQ motivates me!”

Running Experience and Accomplishments: As a local high school athlete at Lake Braddock Secondary School, Steve was the 3200m State Champion. He continued running collegiately at the College of William and Mary. He has since returned to be a Cross Country and Track coach at Lake Braddock, and currently can frequently be found racing on the local roads. Steve is an assistant with the PR Training Programs High School Summer Program.

Running Experience and Accomplishments: Kelly ran for James W. Robinson Secondary School and is still the school record holder in the 1000 M Run. While in high school, Kelly was nominated for the Fairfax County 'Donna de Verona' Spirit of the Sport Award. Kelly went on to run for the Virginia Tech top 7 her freshman year in 2009. Kelly transfered her sophomore year to run at George Mason where she currently still competes.

Hometown: Alexandria, VA
Running Experience and Accomplishments: Tara has been running intermittently since the birth of her third child in 2005 but it wasn’t until 2012 that she began running and racing consistently. She runs every distance from 5k to 50k and qualified for Boston at the 2012 Marine Corps Marathon. She is currently a member of the PR race team.

Running Experience and Accomplishments: Dino began running at the age of 22 after serving four years in the Marine Corps. After competing in college as a walk on cross country runner for Limestone College in Gaffney, SC Dino began coaching cross country and track at the high school level in 2008. He served as an assistant before becoming the head coach at Fairview HS (PA) in 2010. It wasn’t until then that he began to excel in his own running. He competes in many events ranging from 5k to marathons.

Favorite... Running Accomplishments: Boston Marathon and 3rd place finish at the 2010 Presque Isle Marathon in Erie, PA.

Hometown: East Stroudsburg, PA
Running Experience and Accomplishments: Bill started running 3 years ago to raise money for a hometown charity in the Steamtown Marathon in Scranton, PA and he became hooked on the atmosphere. Since then, he has run in races on 3 different continents, obtained the USATF Level 1 coaching certification and hopes to start a career in teaching and coaching.

Running Experience and Accomplishments: Pat completed 4 years of cross country and track at Houghton College in western NY and was a 2000 NAIA cross country all-American. Pat was a volunteer coach for cross country in Lancaster, PA and a head track coach in Harrisonburg, VA. Pat is currently a graduate student at George Mason University studying school counseling. He continues to run for pleasure and completed his first sprint triathlon in Charlottesville in the summer of ’10.
