Meghan Ridgley, Store Manager

Hometown: Vienna, VA

Running Experience and Accomplishments: Meghan competed locally at Marshall HS and Radford University, where she was the Big South Conference Champion at 10K and an NCAA qualifier in Cross Country. Now a member of the PR Racing Team and a success story for PR Training Programs, she made her marathon debut in 2003 at Philadelphia running 2:46:52 and qualifying for the 2004 US Olympic Trials. Meghan is back on the racing scene after the birth of daughter, Miranda, in 2007, and is looking for her 2012 qualifier.

Favorite...piece of advice: Always know where the bathrooms are.

Tom Cook

Hometown: Alexandria, VA

Running Experience and Accomplishments: Tom has spent the past 30 years racing and competing in on the track and road and in triathlon. He has completed over 300 races from the 5K to the 1/2 Ironman, and was the 2004 DC Road Runners Masters Runner of the Year.

Favorite....Race: Tim Harmon 5K (held annually in June in Fairfax, VA) -- Tom is the Race Director of this event held in memory of a friend.

 

Rory Duffield

Hometown: Amherst, NH

Running Experience and Accomplishments: Rory began running competatively in the 4th grade and now as a member of the =PR= racing team continues to compete in numerous road races from 5K to half marathons. In the spring of 2010, he ran his first ever marathon and ran a qualifying time for Boston. Rory has been coaching track and cross country at Thomas Edison High School since 2005 and is also an assistant coach with the =PR= High School Summer Training Program. He is also a VHSL certified coach and a USA T&F certified offcial. Rory's favorite local place to run is the Manassas Battlefields.

Moise Joseph Moise Joseph

Hometown: Miami, FL

Running Experience and Accomplishments: Moise was a 12 time All-American while at the University of Florida. He competed for Haiti in the 2004 Olympics and has been a member of four World Championship teams. Moise is currently training and racing on the track at the national and international level.

Favorite....racing memory: "During high school I won the mile in a meet at the Gulfstream Horse Racing Track in South Florida. It was televised live to an audience of over a million and there were hundreds in the stands."

 

Todd Wait

Hometown: Ashland, OH

Running Experience and Accomplishments: Todd has finished multiple marathons and 50-Milers.  His marathon finishes include a PR of 3:30.16 (BQ) at the 2009 National Marathon.  The 2010 MCM will be Todd's 5th MCM and 9th marathon overall.  Todd has completed the JFK 50-Mile twice, with a PR of 9:56 in 2008.  This year will be Todd's 3rd go at JFK!   A commercial pilot, Todd has the chance to run in lots of cool places.

Favorite....Places to Run:  Along the Main River in Frankfurt, Germany, along the Sihl River in Zurich, Switzerland, and the good old Fairfax County Cross Count Trail (CCT)

 

Kylene Peroutky

Hometown: Herndon, VA

Running Experience and Accomplishments: Kylene played soccer all through high school, then played soccer and swam in college. At the time, running was limited to conditioning for soccer. But, once collegiate sports were over, Kylene found herself running more! Kylene finished my first trail half marathon in June and continues to race at the 5K-10 mile distance. Currently Kylene is training for another half marathon and contemplating whether to give in to the peer pressure of fellow co-workers and attempt a marathon!

Favorite....Time to run: "5:30 AM with my mom!"

 

Blake Johnson

Hometown:Gillette, WY

Running Experience and Accomplishments: In high school, Blake was a member of one of the top XC programs in the country his senior year (boys ranked #3; girls ranked #1). He later went on to set a PR of 31:00 in the 10k and compete in the NCAA national XC meet.

Favorite....Racing Memory:  Blake proposed to his wife after running the Army Ten-Miler in 2006

 

Caitlyn Ramsey

Hometown:Pine Island, New York

Running Experience and Accomplishments: Caitlyn ran her first race at the age of 29. Since then she has raced and trained with running clubs in New York, Massachusetts, Missouri, Ohio and Virginia. She has completed 8 marathons (with a PR of 3:07), as well as 8 50k's, the JFK 50 miler, open water swim races (both ocean and lake), and a triathlon. She is an NSCA certified personal trainer and an RRCA certified distance running coach.

Favorite....Running Memory:  "Accidentally winning the second race I ever ran - the Vestal 20k in Vestal (near Binghamton) New York. The only person more surprised than me was my mother who had come out to cheer me on and was worried I would "faint" from running in 90 degree heat. I was only running as cross-training for swimming then and had the slowest winning time since 1980-something, but it was the start of an addiction."

 

Dustin Smith

Hometown: "I moved every 3 years of my life, but my parents live in Chesapeake, VA - so that's "home" for now!"

Running Experience and Accomplishments:  Dustin got in to running through wrestling training in high school. To Dustin, running which was more of a punishment than a pleasure back then! But now, he has learned to love running and has raced in several 5k and mud runs, one half marathon and will compete in tough mudder and MCM in 2011.

Favorite....Run:  ASYMCA Mud run, and The Tough Mudder.

 

Jonathan Gohrband

Hometown: Reston, VA

Running Experience and Accomplishments:  Jonathan started running for South Lakes High school his freshman year and has never stopped. His favorite events are the Mile and 800. After a successful 4 years of running cross country and track at South Lakes he was recruited to run for West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, West Virginia. Post college he continues to run and do as many race as possible.

Favorite.... Quote:  "Can't stop won't stop"

 

Kim Isler

Hometown: Oakton, VA

Running Experience and Accomplishments:  Kim ran intermittently throughout high school and college but it was not until 6 years after the birth of her fourth and last child that she began to run and race consistently. She has enjoyed every race distance from the 5k to ½ marathon until last March when she ran her first marathon (3:23) and qualified for Boston. Now she loves the marathon and is currently training towards that race distance. Kim currently races on one of the PRR race teams.

Favorite.... Runs:  Putting on my running shoes very early in the morning and exploring new cities, towns, and national parks when our family travels throughout the US and Canada on camping trips, Prince Edward Island and Acadia National Park being some of the best!

 

Kristy Kim

Hometown: Rockville, MD

Running Experience and Accomplishments: Kristy started running 2 years after she had her 2nd child. She started with 5Ks, 10Ks, 10 mile and ran her first half marathon in 2005. Kristy’s initial goal was to complete just one marathon in her lifetime. After completing her first marathon in 2006 in Toronto, Canada, Kristy became passionate with running and completed 11 marathons including Boston and Berlin. Kristy’s goal is to continue to run new marathons that she has never ran before.

Favorite....Place to Run: C&O Canal Towpath between mile marker 5 and 22

 

Mackenzie Blair

Hometown: Sterling, VA

Running Experience and Accomplishments: Mackenzie played recreational soccer growing up and ran only a couple seasons of track while in high school. It wasn't until early 2007 that she found her passion for fitness after re-joining a local gym. She became a personal trainer and group exercise instructor, teaching various formats of the trade. Mainly running for her own benefit and enjoyment, of the mid-distance races she has ran, the Spartan Sprint is her #1 favorite.

Favorite....Quotes: "Excuses won’t help you cross the finish line.” “No matter how fast or slow you’re running, you’re lapping everyone still on their couch.”
