Need some help training this summer? Summer training camp is a great way to stay motivated, meet new runners, and learn about important concepts in training!  Join us this year at =PR= Capon Ridge Running Camp and let us help you get ready for the start of Cross Country.

=PR= Capon Ridge Running Camp:  July 15 - July 20, 2012

Escape the mid-summer heat. Consider a week away at the =PR= Capon Ridge Running Camp. The 2012 Capon Ridge Running Camp is designed to give cross country athletes (ages13-18) an opportunity to run in a beautiful setting while meeting other cross country runners, learn from an experienced staff comprised of college athletes from several colleges including Virginia, Willliam & Mary, Longwood, Virginia Tech, American, Georgetown, Richmond, Miami(Fla) and excellent speakers (past speakers have included Alan Webb, American Record Holder in the mile, 3 x U.S. National Champion at 1500 meters and 2004 Olympian, Juli Henner, Air Force Academy distance coach and 1996 Olympian, Alex Gibby, head men’ s cross country coach at W&M, Kathy Newberry, head women’s cross country coach at W&M, John Truax, Nike Grass Roots Marketing Director, Mike Kiernan, head track coach, Robinson High School, Scott Raczko ,coach of several professional runners, Brian Schmidt, head cross country and track & field coach, Dominion High School, and Caitlin Stravino, head cross country coach, Tallwood High School ), and to have loads of fun with experiences which will be remembered forever.

Facilities: Concord Retreat is nestled in the Capon Valley region of West Virginia. There are miles of off road trails and grass fields connecting from the camp. The camp has 4separate air- conditioned dorms (two boys and two girls), a large dining hall, a large game room, outdoor amphitheater, assembly room, ropes course, paintball course, obstacle course, and an outdoor swimming pool.

Housing: Housing is in four air-conditioned dorms (2 boys and 2 girls) on the 175 acre campus. Campers are housed 4 per room with approximately 30 campers per dorm

Costs: $485.00 ($460 if full amount is received by Feb. 29, 2012) Full refunds will be issued if notification is given prior to May 1, 2011. After May 1, a $100 processing fee will be applied to all refunds. No refunds after June 30, 2012. Cost includes lodging, 3 meals per day, camp t-shirt. Cost will also include speakers, individualized coaching, video analysis, and much more!
