Nike Pegasus was first introduced back in 1983. Thirty one years later the shoe has been modified as new technologies have been introduced. Runners have always appreciated this shoe for its quickness, reliability and cushioning.
In June Nike released the 31st Nike Air Zoom Pegasus with six new features that we’re excited to see:
Nike Zoom Air Unit: It is near the heel of the shoe immediately under foot for ultra-responsive feel.
Engineered Mesh: It is located on the upper part of the shoe with elements built in instead of stitched on. This reduces the potential for irritation and weight of the shoe as well as allows the foot to have a lot of ventilation.
Crash Rail: This guides the foot through the entire foot strike for increased stability and smoother transition.
32 Waffle Lugs: The same number as on the original Pegasus in 1983 for exceptional traction
10mm Heel Offset: Lower drop from heel to toe, for more natural motion
Contoured Forefoot: 32mm of roll, for smoother transition and quicker toe off.
