Fueling for Performance: Nutrition for the Endurance Athlete

Join us on Monday, October 1st for our weekly Monday Runday at 6:30PM. After the run, we will be hosting a free
nutrition seminar led by Julia Bell, MS, RD, LDN. Nutrition is an essential element to all training and lifestyles. During this
talk, Julia will be focusing on several topics including: habits to help ensure optimal and consistent performance, how to
fuel with a purpose, nutrient timing, hydration, how to prepare and recover from training, mindset and fueling strategies
for race day.
We plan to start the seminar at 7:15 PM. Join us for the run and stay for the seminar or come by just for the talk!
Julia was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. She attended college at the University of Tennessee, where she
received her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and earned her master’s in Public Health Nutrition. She completed her thesis
on the prevention and treatment of childhood overweight and obesity and has experience working with youth to help
with their fitness and nutrition. Furthermore, during her collegiate career, she worked as a Sports Nutrition Intern with
the athletic department, where she developed her passion for helping athletes achieve their training and nutrition goals.
After completing her dietetic internship and passing her Registered Dietitian exam, she made the move to Maryland to
serve as a Sports Nutrition Fellow for The University of Maryland. In her current role as a Performance Dietitian for Inova
powered by EXOS, she hopes to help athletes learn how to fuel with a purpose while facilitating the knowledge and
motivation necessary for them to reach their goals.
