HIIT or MISS: A Seminar with Dr. Mike Yasson

February 24, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Is your running routine stagnant?

Has your fitness level plateaued?

Are you looking to take your workouts to the next level?

If so, join us for HIIT OR MISS: a seminar with Dr. Mike Yasson DPT, CSCS, ART of Big League Performance and Rehabilitation to learn about the risks and rewards of HIIT training.

High-Intensity Interval Training, or HIIT, recently took the number ONE spot on the list of major workout trends for 2018. HIIT workouts provide improved athletic capacity through a series of intense anaerobic exercise bursts followed by less intense recovery periods.

Benefits of HIIT classes include:
✔️Burning TONS of calories
✔️Boosting metabolism
✔️Time efficient workouts
✔️Reduced aging at the cellular level by increasing mitochondrial levels
✔️Creating a judgement-free community where everyone is excited to workout

But, there are negative factors to watch out for when doing a HIIT class.

Risks of HIIT classes include :
✔️Inadequate warm up or preparation
✔️Bad programming/instruction
✔️Improper form
✔️Not enough recovery

At the end of the day, there are a LARGE number of benefits to taking HIIT classes, but there are risks involved as well. Join DR. Mike Yasson and =PR= on 2.24 to learn how you can reap maximum rewards through HIIT training. Attendees will gain a basic understanding of fundamental exercise techniques and discover how not addressing those needs can have a negative effect on your overall health and wellness.

RSVP today to ensure your workouts are all ‘HIIT’ and no ‘MISS.’
