Race to Stop Traffick D.C.

October 20, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

In 2018, 40 million people are still enslaved. 2 million of those are child sex slaves. 300,000 of those victims are held in slavery here in the United States. Here, in our backyard…what are we going to do about this?

Save a child and come join us as we “Race to Stop Traffick” Saturday, October 20 at 9:00 am, at Bull Run Regional Park in Northern Virginia. There will be a 1 mile Fun Run as well as a timed 5k, followed by a KidsZone Carnival! Families and kids can participate in post race festivities such as carnival games, face painting, balloon art and the very popular raffle booth. 100% of the proceeds will directly benefit Operation Underground Railroad, a non-profit organization whose mission is to rescue and rehabilitate children sold into sex slavery in the U.S. and around the world. Join us and be a part of our mission to end slavery everywhere!

Virtual 5k: For abolitionists who want to participate in the liberation efforts but aren’t local, you can participate virtually! Virtual runners can register to run a 5k on your own before the race. If you post a picture of yourself from during/after your run with the hashtag #racetostoptraffickdc then we’ll mail you a t-shirt! Please contact Kayla Hafley for questions; racetostoptraffick@gmail.com
