Seminar: Mindful Eating and Running Nutrition

Mindful eating and sports nutrition don’t have to be mutually exclusive! In fact, as runners learn to tune into their bodies while they train for a goal race or event, they can also learn to tune into natural hunger and satiety cues. Sticking to a rigid eating plan or sports nutrition regimen can result in under-fueling, which puts athletes at a higher risk for injury and chronic fatigue.
Join us at =PR= Reston on Wednesday, April 25th OR at =PR= Burke on Thursday, May 3rd as registered dietitian Heather Caplan discusses ways to honor hunger, meet your fueling needs, and still enjoy the foods you love while training with this mindful eating approach. Both seminars are free! They will begin to gather at 7:30pm, with the seminar starting at 7:45pm.

A little about Heather…
Heather Caplan is a registered dietitian with a private practice in Arlington, VA. Her approach centers around intuitive eating and weight-neutral healthcare. She hosts the weekly podcast, RD Real Talk, which explores all aspects of intuitive eating. She hosts a virtual course for athletes focusing on the intersection of mindful eating and sports nutrition, and writes regularly on her website, heathercaplan.com. Her work has been published on websites such as Runner’s World, EatingWell, Runner’s Connect, and Motiv Sports.
