The Runner’s Basic Foot-Care Clinic Powered by Lansdowne Podiatry
March 30 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join Potomac River Running Store =DC= and Dr. Monique Renee Muronda(Rolle) of Lansdowne Podiatry on Saturday, March 30th, for a clinic devoted to the runner and basic foot-care. The feet are the foundation of the body and the primary point of contact with the ground. Neglect the feet and your run is done.
According to the American Podiatric Medical Association, improper foot care during exercise contributes to many of the 300-plus foot problems that can occur. So why is it that so few runners give their foot proper attention. Especially since 1 out of every 5 runners have endured a foot injury in the past 12 months. The feet often ache, blister, sweat, crack, itch, peel, and ( worst of all) smell. Foot injuries can also adversely affect other parts of the body as well. The shins, knees, hips, and lower back are all vulnerable to unnecessary pain due to basic foot-care neglect.
Dr. Muronda will be in-house to provide a medical insight on all these common issues and more. Attendees will walk away with a clear and precise understanding of basic foot-care practices to keep the feet happy, and the body running longer, stronger, and more comfortable.
This will be an interactive session with the opportunity for questions and comments.
Seating is limited, so please RSVP early to guarantee entry
