Slight over-pronators, unite! We now have a supportive shoe that is race-inspired from Mizuno. The new Wave Inspire weighs in under 10 ounces, which is a significant achievement for a shoe with good support. To be precise, the men’s model is 9.0 ounces and the women’s version is a feathery 7.6 ounces. Combine the lighter weight with a flexible and secure fit from heel to toe, plenty of cushioning and stability for a smooth ride, and you’ve got a very versatile shoe.
How did they pull it off? Mizuno started with their new U4ic (yes, it’s pronounced “euphoric!”) midsole material and redesigned the signature Fan Wave in the heel of the sole. They topped it with a very breathable, seamless mesh upper that keeps the foot in place. It’s a great combination that can withstand longer mileage, yet provide the lightness you desire for race day.
The only way to know if the new Mizuno Wave Inspire is a good choice for your training and racing is to stop into one of our nine store locations and put them to the test. Any of our shoe fit specialists can assess your running style, foot type, and perform a FREE gait analysis using the latest in motion capture video technology.
Mizuno isn’t leaving the inspiration in the shoes they design; they recently commissioned a statistical study that we found interesting. “What if Everybody Ran?” provides answers to the question that will motivate you, not only in pursuing your own active lifestyle, but to encourage others to get inspired to walk or run as well.
