In-Store Purchase Returns

– Gift cards are final sale. Gift cards cannot be returned.

– Electronic purchases over $100 are subject to a $15 restocking fee.
– All carbon fiber plated shoes are final sale. No exchanges or refunds available.
– =PR= will accept unworn BIRKENSTOCK® returns within 30 days of the initial purchase of the item(s). Returns will be subject to inspection and must be in new condition with original packaging.

Online Purchase Returns & Exchanges

Returns and exchanges can be processed in any of our local retail store locations or via mail to the =PR= Warehouse.  If you have any questions or comments regarding our returns and exchanges policy for =PR= Online Store purchases please contact our online sales manager.

Exchanging Your Online Purchase at a Store

  1. Locate your most convenient =PR= retail location.
  2. What to bring:
    • Product(s) you would like to return along with original box and/or tags
    • Your order’s packing slip that came with your shipment or your order confirmation email
  3. Our knowledgeable staff will answer any questions you may have and help you find a better size or a great replacement product and complete the exchange at the register

Returning Your Online Purchase at a Store

  1. Locate your most convenient =PR= retail location.
  2. What to bring:
    • Product(s) you would like to return along with original box and/or tags
    • Your order’s packing slip that came with your shipment or your order confirmation email
    • Original form of payment for credit
  3. Our helpful staff will process your return and assist you with any other questions or product needs you may have

*Note – If you are returning an item you bought online, please allow 24-48 hours for refund to be processed.*

Exchanging Your Online Purchase Via Mail

  1. Contact the =PR= Online Sales Manager
  2. What to include in your email:
    • Your original order number
    • A list of the product(s) you would like to replace
    • A list of the product(s) you would like to exchange for (if you are unsure of what you would like to exchange for please note that in your email and the web sales manager will contact you directly with replacement options)
  3. The online sales manager will send you a prepaid USPS return label for the product to send back to =PR=
  4. Pack up your shipment with the original mailing materials or any appropriately sized box
  5. What to include in your package:
    • Product(s) you would like to exchange along with the original box and/or tags
    • Your order’s packing slip that came with your shipment or your order confirmation email
  6. Once the =PR= Warehouse receives the shipment we will process your exchange and ship out your replacement product(s)
  7. Any additional charges or refunds associated with the exchange will be processed within a few business days

Returning Your Online Purchase Via Mail

  1. Contact the =PR= Online Sales Manager.
  2. What to include in your email:
    • Your original order number
    • A list of the product(s) you would like to return
  3. The online sales manager will email you a prepaid USPS return label
  4. Pack up your return with the original mailing materials or any appropriately sized box
  5. What to include in your package:
    • Product(s) you would like to return along with the original box and/or tags
    • Your order’s packing slip that came with your shipment or your order confirmation email
  6. Drop the package at your most convenient USPS location
  7. Once the =PR= Warehouse receives the return your original form of payment will be credited within a few business days

Online Orders Shipping Policy

Shipping is free for all orders over $35. Orders under $35 will have an additional $4.95 flat shipping fee. All items are shipped via USPS. Upon creation of the shipping label, customers automatically receive an email containing their tracking number. All items are shipped through First Class or Priority Mail. Shipping time depends on your order and your shipping address but each order is packed and shipped as soon as possible. Price Matching Policy

It is our sincere hope that you enjoy our expert service in helping you select the right footwear and that you find it valuable and helpful. We also understand that you may be concerned about price. Allow us to put your mind at ease. The last thing we want is to invest so much effort into helping you and then lose the sale because of price concerns.

If after your shoe purchase you find the same model and color for less online within 7 days, simply show us the lower price on your phone, print the web page and bring it into our store, or for online purchases, email it to onlinesales@potomacriverrunning.com. We will issue a refund for the difference, no questions asked (the matched price will be the check out price including any shipping charges.) Auction sites like eBay are excluded.

Sale Price Exclusions

During sales and promotions, sale price not valid on previous purchases or with other discounts or promotions. In cases where more than one discount may be relevant, greater discount applies. Not valid on electronics, gift cards, gift packs, lululemon, on certain key footwear models from Adidas, Altra, ASICS, Birkenstock, Brooks, Diadora, Hoka, Mizuno, New Balance, Nike, The North Face, Olukai, ON, Oofos, Saucony, and Spenco, as well as certain key products from CEP and Trigger Point.

Why do we exclude certain brands?

Promotions and prices at Potomac River Running are set independently. However, our brands have pricing policies that restrict the prices for which we may sell or advertise their products.
