This month our employee spotlight is recent South Lakes graduate and =PR= Reston employee Juviannadean or “Juvi” for short. Juvi has been with the =PR= team for over a year and always has a smile on her face. Juvi was a member of the South Lakes Seahawks Track and Field team and will continue to compete at the college level next year at Delaware State University. Before she heads off to college this August, be sure to stop by =PR= Reston and wish her well! We can’t wait to see Juvi compete and continue her running career at the college level! How did you get started running? My mother used to take me on runs while I was younger in the running stroller and when I was able to run, I ran trails with her!
Favorite Running Event/Distance? 200 meter dash
What is your favorite part about running and or racing? I love being able to push myself to new personal records and clearly seeing a difference in my races.
Who is your biggest cheerleader/supporter? My mother
What is your Spirit Animal? Why? My spirit animal would be a black panther because they are mysterious and protective.
What is your life’s motto? Words to live by? Impact > Impress

Favorite places to run or train: I like running places with nice scenery to distract myself from the long running.

What advice do you have for a new runner? Ease into the mileage and set reasonable goals. You definitely want to get into good shoes, comfortable gear, coupled with performance socks.
Tell us a little more about yourself . . . I really enjoy working for PR as it has prepared me for my freshman year of college and my future adult life. The experience has definitely brought me out of my shell and I’m excited to use what I’ve learned to aid in my college major of Kinesiology.
