The wait is nearly over. The much-anticipated Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4% will be available in limited quantities at Potomac River Running Reston in June. Refresher: This is the shoe that Lelisa Desisa, Zersenay Tadese, and Eliud Kipchoge toed the line in when they took on the Breaking2 challenge on May 6. Kipchoge was the closest of the three, running 2:00.25. This noteworthy shoe features a midsole with an innovative system for providing responsive cushioning, which is designed to maximize speed and deliver greater energy return. =PR= Reston will be the only store in the region carrying this shoe.
The story doesn’t end with the Vaporfly 4%. =PR= Reston, Leesburg, DC & Tysons will also be carrying the Nike Zoom Fly. The Zoom Fly applies the principles of the distinguished Vaporfly 4% to a shoe that is fast enough for race day, yet durable enough for everyday training. Ultra-lightweight, soft and highly resilient Lunarlon foam creates a light, responsive underfoot experience, while an embedded full-length carbon infused nylon plate increases stiffness.
The story concludes with the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 34, available in all =PR= locations. This shoes married Nike Zoom Air units in the forefront and heel to premium Cushlon ST foam. This approach provides soft cushioning balanced with a supportive, responsive underfoot feel.
